4/12/05- New Season Looking Good For TMW Racing! _____________________________________

The 2004 season was TMW Racing’s first full year in Pro Mod. After struggling in the beginning of the year with suspension issues, the team earned their first victory at Texas Raceway and haven’t looked back since. In October, they made the trip to Jackson, South Carolina for the first DragStock event. They qualified in the tough eight-car outlaw field, out of 55 total pro mods. Shortly after, the team landed another victory at Redline Raceway where they also set the track E.T. and MPH records. The end of the season showed the team third overall in the Texas Outlaw Pro Mod Association points, behind racers such as Gaylen Smith and Frankie Taylor. They have set a strong pace to follow, but they have been no slouch when it comes to the new year.

During the off-season the ‘vette got some new colors courtesy of Mike Huddelston’s Paint and Body, and Bill Sherburne, “Lefty.” The new paint scheme features a war-torn Texas flag, two .45 caliber revolver cylinders, and even twenty, real $100 bills “blowing” out of the moneybags, airbrushed on the hood.

The first race for 2005 was the season opener for the Texas Outlaw Pro Mod Association, on March 11th. After sitting for five months, the team laid down a 4.08 out of the trailer to take the top qualifying honors. They continued on running low E.T. every round, and won the event.

The next race for the Texas Most Wanted crew brought them back to Texas Raceway on April 8th. The track was slick, but they managed to muster a 4.17 to be the number one qualifier. The team ran consistent all night and pulled through for another win running a 4.13 in the final against Ken Thomas.

Although they are an “Outlaw” team, TMW Racing has plans to run a few legal races, one being the AMS/TLR event in Dallas. “Our goal is to obtain a major sponsorship and run all of the AMS/TLR events, and also our local Texas Outlaw Pro Mod points races,” said Gary Lynch, crew chief for Clyde Scott and the Texas Most Wanted team. They are also going to run a few races on the outlaw circuit such as the ADRL/Outlaw Pro Mod series, DragStock II and LoneStar Fall Open. They will also continue to pursue the championship in the Texas Outlaw Pro Mod Association.

The next race for the Texas Most Wanted team will be in San Antonio, for the Super Chevy Show on April 23-24.
