Here it is the last points race of the TOPMA season and what a night it was. Another record was set, and another first time winner! Here's what went down:

Qualifying:

#3 Jeremy Brown - 4.187 at 168 mph
#4 Thomas Myers - 4.234 at 173 mph
#5 Frankie Taylor - 4.244 at 177 mph
#6 Jackie Deaver - 4.286 at 168 mph
#7 JR Boiles - 4.415 at 164 mph
#8 David Baldwin - 4.439 at 160 mph
#9 Steve Gorman - 4.464 at 158 mph
#10 HT Wilson - 4.532 at 162 mph
#11 Eddie Roach - 4.670 at 150 mph
#12 Chuck Poindexter - 4.825 at 141 mph

Round 1:

Thomas Myers (W) 4.365 at 166 mph (.488 RT)
Frankie Taylor (RU) 8.100 at 64 mph (.453 RT)

Frankie wasted a hole shot advantage as the car made a hard right hand turn right off the starting line and he crossed the center line. Thomas just cruised right on by for the win.

Jeremy Brown (W) 4.188 at 174 mph (.527 RT)
Jackie Deaver (RU) 9.238 at 44 mph (.421 RT)

Jackie also wasted a hole shot advantage as something went away on the car and Jeremy repeated his qualifying time for the win.

Wes Johnston (W) 4.117 at 175 mph (.493 RT) **Personal Best**
JR Boiles (RU) 10.842 at 30 mph (1.428 RT)

JR had troubles from the beginning. I think he was trying to get Wes to red light or something but instead Wes had a decent light and he ran a personal best. Congratulations to the WWW team!

Bobby Booth (W) 4.074 at 162 mph (.427 RT)
David Baldwin (RU) 4.957 at 109 mph (.420 RT)

Bobby moved around a little losing a little ET was didn't stop him from getting the win.

Semi Finals:

Bobby Booth (W) 3.990 at 181 mph (.432 RT) **Personal Best**
Thomas Myers (RU) 4.139 at 174 mph (.435 RT)

Bobby had an excellent light and ran a 3.990 on top of that which is a personal best for the Booth Racing team. Congratulations guys! The first 3 second pass at a TOPMA event and what a way to end the points season!!!

Something went wrong in the clutch can on the twizted lemon car and they were unable to make the call giving an automatic win to Wes and a bye run into the finals.

Finals:

Wes Johnston (W) 17.83 at 25 mph (.578 RT) Competition bye
Bobby Booth (RU) No show

That 3 second run was a costly one for Team Booth as they were unable to make final round because they pushed a head gasket out. Wes was going to make an all out run but he blew the tires off at the hit and just coasted on thru for the win.

Congratulations to Wes Johnston and the entire WWW team for their fist TOPMA victory and their personal best ET. Wes said it was an ugly win but a wins a win!
